Tuneful Tuesday is a mix of the best music Local and international. I'm really enjoying interviewing the best of people Stand out interviews so far Carol Decker, Eleanor McEvoy, Kieran Goss,Margo Harkin John Deery, Leeann Toland, Frank Rafferty,The Seeger Sessions Revival, Ralph McTell, Brendan Murphy (The 4 of us) Chris Kent and looking forward to chatting with many more luminaries Comedy is a big part of my everyday life so love spreading fun and some poems stories to Derry and around the world.
What inspired you to become a radio presenter?
My love of music Always a way to escape the mundane and to transport you to a better place. Singing and music are great for everyone's mental health Loved listening to the radio and I still do.
What do enjoy most about your show?
The interaction with the listeners and their reaction to interviewees Having the craic and playing great music. Many great musicians keep me in the loop with their new music which is an honour to say the least.
What’s your favourite type of show to host?
Love interviewing fun and funny folk and having a wee chat Like shows with a competition in them too. 70 80s were my decades so love those too.
What’s the funniest thing that has happened to you on air?
One of our lovely listeners rang in looking for me to play a band but I asked what were their big hit songs and they said they've loads of them. Off I went to Google this band to see if we had any of their music and coming into the last minutes of my show I forgot to turn off my mic in the studio when it dawned on me They had asked for a band that was really famous but I couldn't understand their accent. "FECKIN QUEEN" I exclaimed before realising the mic was live 🤣🤣🤣
If you weren’t a radio presenter, what would you be doing?
I'm a writer actor and comedian as well as a mum.
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work?
Writing, singing,Reading Music and Comedy shows.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Kindness and peace to everyone See how familiar everyone is and that peace is worth living for.
