Derry City have secured the signature of Gavin Whyte on a 3 year deal.

The much sought after player, signed on to ply his trade in the League of Ireland

He began his professional career at Oxford United, where he honed his abilities before making the step up to the Championship with Cardiff City.

After a period with Cardiff, Whyte returned to his roots in Northern Ireland, joining Crusaders FC. His impressive performances for the club reignited his career and attracted the attention of Portsmouth FC.
